Graduates working at REED have voted us as one of the best places to work in the UK, and as having one of the best graduate schemes, following the results released from The Job Crowd’s Top Companies For Graduates To Work For 2018/19 survey.

REED placed 46th from over 600  graduate employer entrants; placing us in the top 10% of businesses in the UK! Below are just a few reasons why the REED Graduate Scheme produces happy, productive Co-Members!

One of the Best Graduate Schemes Developing Talent for over 20 Years

REED’s Graduate Training Scheme has been in operation for over 20 years, with the first graduates joining the scheme in 1997, which included our current Managing Director of Reed Specialist Recruitment, Tom Lovell. Since then, the scheme has continued to produce a whole host of business leaders including a host of directors and heads of departments.

REED stands out among graduate employers as it is the only UK recruitment company that offers a structured graduate scheme. The three-year scheme differentiates itself from other graduate employers though through the flexibility the scheme offers its graduate trainees. Read more about the scheme structure here.

Unparalleled Training and Support

The dedicated Graduate Training Scheme team support our trainees from application through to scheme ‘graduation’. Every new cohort start their REED journey together at the Reed Business School (located in the picturesque Cotswolds) where they receive an in-depth induction to REED with the chance to meet current and past GTS Co-Members as well as senior directors, including our Chairman, James Reed.

REED Graduate Training Scheme: June 2017 Intake with Ben Latham (far left, GTS Manager Jan 2017 – June 2018) and Lauren Salter (far right, Graduate & Early Talent Manager June 2018 – present). Sophie Parsons (3rd from left) joins Lauren as GTS Coordinator in June 2018.

Throughout the scheme, graduate trainees receive direct support from their line manager, personal mentor, and the GTS team in preparing them for their current position and any future roles they may be considering, whilst our dedicated in-house Learning and Development teams deliver unparalleled industry training to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform to their best ability.

REED is a family-owned company, which is reflected in the community feel of the Graduate Training Scheme. The GTS Committee, formed of current GTS Co-Members help run company-wide Sales Days, Newsletters and Socials for our graduates. In the last six months alone these have included Crazy Golf, Table Tennis, and an end of year Graduate Ball (as pictured below).
