I was in a branch recently where James Reed was visiting. He took the time to speak to each Co-Member which really emphasised the importance of the family feeling that we have here. It’s important for us to remember that whilst we are a market-leader in the recruitment industry, we are still family run, and still have family values and it’s nice to have the best of both worlds.
My role allows me to always feel like I’m contributing to the business. I’m trusted and given the autonomy to make decisions that will ultimately help to achieve our strategic aims. I spend most of my time visiting branches and speaking to people and whilst I see a lot of hard work, I also see laughter and team spirit. The support I’ve personally had at REED has enabled me to catapult my career forward very quickly. The ongoing coaching and development I’ve had has helped me to grow both personally and professionally. REED can offer you a very long and happy career and you will continue to be invested in for as long as you want to grow.
Senior HR Business Partner
When I started at REED, I had no idea about recruitment and it was all very new to me. I was given endless support by my team and through various training opportunities, I have got to where I am today. I started at REED as a Researcher two and a half years ago and since, I have received 3 promotions and I am now a Senior Consultant in the Brno Engineering division. I have been rewarded every step of the way with bonuses and salary increases but for me, it’s the people that make me love my job. REED is my second family. I work with people who I trust and I know I can rely on. I love my work environment and I feel very comfortable here every day. We work as a team and we can share our fears, obstacles and rewards.
I joined REED from a background in retail and found that a lot of my skills were transferable to the recruitment industry, such as customer service. In my 3 years here, I have received 3 promotions thanks to the support, guidance and training that I have been offered. There are some great opportunities at REED and the people are what make it such a fantastic place to work; my team are amazing and are the best group of people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
To me, the REED brand means family – it’s a family run business, and it’s run like a family. REED will always put their Co-Members first in whatever they do. For me, I’m rewarded through working in a friendly and engaging environment as well as the fantastic discounts, benefits and awards they offer. Everyone is really down to earth, but we all believe in the service we offer and the brand we uphold – it’s great to be working with like-minded people towards the same goal.
I started on a temporary contract for Reed Talent Solutions, I was then successful in my application for Team Leader where I went on to win the Team Leader of the Year award. In 2014, I finished the Reed Management Academy and joined the Business Support branch in January 2015. Since then I have hit Senior, Executive and Senior Executive consultant and became the branch Team Manager in January 2016. I have had two mentors during my time with REED, this has allowed me to discuss areas for development and different career avenues I could explore. REED is a great company to work for, they offer fantastic benefits and always reward good performance. I feel very proud to say I work for REED, I am fully engaged in what we stand for, our values and our mission.
