” I used to be a client of REED and they came across so well, that I thought ‘I would like to do this’, and I have never looked back. “
Bukola Odofin, Area Manager
The best thing about working at REED is knowing that I can change lives by helping my candidates find their dream job and I am proud to be doing this at a company that has almost 60 years history and already 10 years history on the Czech market. I am rewarded every day by having such a wonderful team around me, the possibility to do things ‘my way’ and grow, both professionally as well as personally. I have been constantly trained on different sourcing methods, effective communication, sales skills, interview techniques and most recently people management and development. At REED, you simply never stop learning.
Having started as a Consultant just over a year ago, I was quickly promoted to Manager. I have a fantastic team and a great support network around me to help me fill any knowledge gaps. REED has a very professional working environment with a noticeable presence of togetherness within the business. If you are looking for a long term career that will give you all the tools you need to succeed and a great work life balance, then look no further than REED! There is so much scope to develop yourself with a wide range of opportunities at your fingertips. Plus, you would be working for the UK’s No.1 Recruiter, which has endless positives!
The REED brand is something that is reflected in our values of being fair, open and honest; it’s a representation of the family business that REED is, and how you are treated as a member of the REED family. Candidates and clients know who we are and trust an established brand. I joined REED on a desk partnership which gave me the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of recruitment from an experienced Consultant who I am still great friends with today. Since, I have been offered the opportunity to develop the new Marketing & Creative division and have been tasked with building that up from the ground, a challenge I have thoroughly enjoyed. I’ve had a lot of support from all of my Co-Members: from my own team, manager, area manager, director and right up to the Managing Director herself. I know I can approach any of my Co-Members with anything and get the support and encouragement that I need.
I was attracted to REED by the idea of being able to venture out into different departments and explore different opportunities within the company. My skillset has notably developed and as a Resourcer, my people skills in particular have soared; every day I am engaging with candidates, understanding what they are looking for in their next role and then speaking to them about roles that match their requirements. The best thing about working at REED for me are the opportunities, progression and support – I have always been looked after, appreciated and valued as a member of the team. I look forward to waking up every day and coming to work!
The key factor that tempted me to join REED was the opportunity to take on more responsibility and grow a region from a challenging position. I joined REED as an Area Manager from a competitor covering 4 branches across the South West and after a successful first year, I was promoted to Regional Manager taking on a couple of new branches in the Midlands. Personal recognition throughout the time I have been working with REED has come from many different people both at a local and national level. I love that such a large business acknowledges and rewards growth like REED do. My Manager has supported me in creating a new strategy, a clearer focus and in recruiting new team members, but I have had the autonomy to choose our direction and how we will get there.
