Reed Internship Scheme

Internships are an increasingly popular route into work for many. For over 10 years, Reed has been supporting individuals to gain invaluable work experience.

Your 12-week journey with us…

Whatever your background or level of experience, an internship can be the perfect springboard into the world of work.

Over half of our interns join Reed after their internship. Others find employment directly, or with one of the thousands of organisations we work with, through being placed by one of the recruiters that they’ve worked alongside.

Whatever you decide to do after your internship, this programme could be a great way of kick-starting your career.

Reed began an Internship programme in 2009, offering a 12 week placement for people to gain insight into the recruitment industry.  In 2018, the scheme was reinvigorated and 50+ interns have been welcomed into the business since.

An Internship is a practical hands-on work experience that will take place over a defined period of time. It gives you the chance to apply some of the knowledge you have already gained through study or prior work experience, whilst also allowing you to gain more confidence and get comfortable in a working environment.

An internship can be an excellent way to help to build self-esteem as you develop a network of contacts in the workplace. The Reed Early Talent team ensure that anyone joining the scheme, does so with a wealth of support and access to training. It’s important that our interns feel encouraged and empowered during their time at Reed.

A common goal for interns is to secure a job by the end of the programme – over 50% of Reed interns have gained employment with Reed or one of the thousands of businesses we work with. Whilst obtaining full time employment with Reed isn’t guaranteed, your time with us will undoubtedly make the transition into full time work much smoother.
