Account Manager

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a successful senior level candidate, ideally from a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), Managed Service (MSP) or Internal Recruitment background, to make a big impact within Reed’s largest managed agency contract.

Job Title: Account Manager Company: Reed Talent Solutions Reporting to: Senior Account Manager

Base Location: Warrington or surrounding area

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000pa plus £5,000 car allowance and competitive bonus and benefits

As an Account Manager you will be responsible representing Angard. The RBP’s, are responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, working closely with the client’s line managers to ensure that they are supported and guided in compliance with agreed contractual processes.

Another main part of this role is running our Mail Data Entry Centres (MDEC) or National Distribution Centres (NDC) campaign each year. These are client sites where staff manually enter addresses from missing or illegible addresses put through machines during the Christmas peak. Alon with supporting on the volume recruitment of mail and parcel sorters in the NDC’s. As the Account Manager you will be responsible for supporting the RBP who will be managing the team who need to find candidates to manage a 5 month campaign starting in August/September. 

Outside of the Peak period you will be supporting the RBPs by engaging with senior stakeholders across the Client sites to deliver the strategy. Alongside the Senior Account Manager that you will report into, you will be report to the Agency Contracts Management team at the Client based in Sheffield. You would also be expected to be in our Shared Service Centre in Northampton once a week to meet with the Senior Account Manager and other colleagues in the Operations Team.

During the peak time at Christmas or during the MDEC/Angard Peak project you will be expected to split your time between Bristol, Wakefield and Warrington in the main to ensure that your teams are delivering – plus visits to the Northampton head office. There may be some overnight stays during the peak periods especially.

The team are also responsible for effectively managing both cost and time to hire, whilst generating a profitable income stream for the Reed Group.

Your opinion will count as it is important that the successful candidate gets to grips with demanding recruitment requirements and is able to challenge recruitment decisions where appropriate, whilst providing a world class consultative service.

The Person – What makes a good Account Manager?

The ideal person will already be working as an Account Manager or as a Business Partner within the recruitment industry or a Senior Recruiter or Business/Branch Manager within a recruitment role. Previous experience of managing in a RPO or MSP client site environment would also be advantageous.

You will have significant experience of managing volume and/or/specialist operational resourcing and have previous experience of managing key components of the resourcing process, including attraction strategies and manpower planning. The ideal candidate will also have experience of managing others.

This role is extremely fast-paced with new and demanding challenges each day. If you are resilient, creative and able to think on your feet this position will suit you.

The ideal candidate will also need to be a car driver due to the travel involved
