Job Title: Business Development Manager (Direct Key Accounts)

Salary: £35,000 per annum (aligned to Level 2A of the Field Sales CPF)

OTB: £28,000 per annum

Car allowance: £3,978 per annum

Reporting to: Group Sales Manager
Location: London

Job Overview

The successful candidate will report to the Group sales manager on the DKA team and will have two main responsibilities:

  • Generating new business from a defined list of prospects who do not currently use reed.co.uk

  • Responsible for growing the value of reed.co.uk customers with a particular focus on winning and retaining clients and growing their investment in reed.co.uk’s services

Key Activities

  • Increase the proportion of customers using reed.co.uk from a named customer list by generating business from new and churned clients

  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients and increase value of the client base

  • Create plan for customer engagement at a strategic and operational level

  • Finding new ways to increase revenue and help with the strategy of managing the desk

  • Increase portfolio of products used within customer set

  • Conduct face to face meetings with clients base both for new business and existing accounts

  • Engage with the wider reed.co.uk business to ensure multiple touch points for customers

  • Raise customer insights with line manager and appropriate reed.co.uk business functions 

Key Measures and Targets

  • Hitting and exceeding sales targets

  • Activity – exceed customer engagement targets

  • Increasing revenue,upsells and renewal growth while decreasing churn

Capabilities and Competencies

  • Experience of managing complex accounts,500 employees and above.

  • Experience of developing revenue from new business

  • Able to create account strategies

  • Face to face sales experience

  • Able to work under own initiative

  • Enthusiastic and creative problem solver

  • A consultative approach to sales and being comfortable asking for business

  • A proven track-record of consistent achievement of sales KPIs and targets

  • Strong written,verbal,interpersonal and presentation skills and an ability to interact with diverse audiences

  • Results driven,motivated and passionate about sales

  • Strong commitment to personal excellence,self-disciplined,well presented and resourceful with excellent attention to detail and time management skills

  • Full UK driving licence
