Co-Member Assistant

Reporting to:                Team Leader of Co-Member Administration

Based:              Charles House,61-69 Derngate,Northampton,NN1 1UE

Hours of Work:             08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday

                                   Additional hours may be required from time to time.



Job Purpose:

To manage all payroll administration for permanent Co-Members working for Reed; including new starters and leavers.  The new starter process will include contract issue,contract management and all other administration associated with new starters.  To manage the administration for all current employees,including the processing of salary increases,internal transfers and company benefits.  To manage the processing of leavers in a timely and accurate manner.  This role will involve responding to queries by telephone and email,therefore excellent communication skills are key.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Issue contracts within specified Service Level Agreements
  • Contact new starters to ensure that everything is received prior to payroll cut off
  • Inputting transactional payroll data onto the Oracle payroll system
  • Processing of leavers 
  • Assist with the processing of company benefits
  • Processing contractual changes including pay details and absence management
  • Resolve a wide variety of queries both by telephone and email
  • Other administration within business requirements

  • Adherence to Service Level Agreements and stated deadlines
  • Able to self-manage work load whist maintaining a high level of accuracy

  • IT literate – must have a very good knowledge of Word (Excel would be a bonus)
