Data Scientist Lead
As the Technical Lead of a team of data specialists,you will lead in the development of innovative solutions that keep Reed Online at the forefront of a data-driven market. Your team will leverage sophisticated machine learning and big data technologies overcoming a variety of data and engineering challenges to allow customers to discover their perfect career.
You'll have exposure to some of the latest tech available and will help design the stack for future data scientists and other data specialists. You will be involved in some of the latest advancements in the recruitment technology field and be able to use your skills to help guide the businesses technology stack to improve and understand the jobs market.
What you'll do
The lead data scientist role will provide technical and strategic guidance to the business while offering,leadership and hands on support to the team in developing and implementing technological initiatives and solutions. As well as line management responsibility over a growing team of data specialists and their career development and maintaining a learning culture.
The role will involve using machine learning to identify patterns and trends by analyzing,interpreting enriching and running experiments on both jobs and candidate-related data to improve our products and services. Additionally through research,insights and prototyping you will be responsible for ensuring we remain on the cutting edge and always pushing the technical capabilities of the team and our products.
You will be using a variety of different tools,technologies and techniques such as AWS,Jupyter notebook and python to:
- Acquire & Scrub Data
ilter & Mine data
Sort and Search Data
Working alongside engineers to help us build-out a core suite of data products and services based around improving the experience of job seekers looking for jobs and recruiters looking for candidates.
What you'll have
- A solid background in statistics and computer science
Experience working with and manipulating textual data (NLP experience or building and designing taxonomies will be especially beneficial)
Proficient working with relational and non-relational data sources
Fluency of Python,and common machine learning packages i.e scikit-learn
Deep knowledge of one or more in the following technical areas: natural language processing,
Lucene,Elasticsearch,Solr,SQL Server,Exploratory Data Analysis,Predictive Analytics,Data Visualization,Information retrieval,Text analytics,Big data,Amazon Web Services
