Delivery Manager

Reed Online are looking for a Delivery Manager to join their established team based in Holborn, London. The Delivery Manager will have strong Agile experience and will be tasked with supporting a number of high value digital product streams.

Key Responsibilities/Duties 

  • Manage & drive forward work from inception to transition, implementing the delivery framework across all projects & initiatives
  • Provide direction and leadership to cross-disciplined teams to deliver exceptional products and services 
  • Works with Product and Tech leads to create unified plans that drive impact on key metrics, inspire teams, rally support & deliver against the projects objectives & timelines
  • Continual collaboration with stakeholders (both internal and external) to identify, manage and resolve any dependencies, risks and issues throughout the life-cycle of the project
  • Collates and presents management information (health – success measures, finance, progress) on delivery of projects, services & initiatives, highlighting key risks, issues & dependencies, in a way that is meaningful and consistent
  • Communicates relevant information confidently to key stakeholders including the Senior Leadership Team
  • Works with Product and Tech leads to set the vision, goals
    • Defining how success will be measured

    • Aligning against Objectives & Key Results

  • Highlights & escalates where return on investment is not established or achieved
  • Works with Software Development Management to ensure partners are delivering value and quality
  • Facilitate planning and requirements gathering sessions with the various business areas, stakeholders and product teams
  • Facilitation of development estimation and prioritisation sessions, including the projection of team velocities based on historical data and team resourcing 
  • Collaborate with the relevant business areas and stakeholders to scope out new projects and initiatives – including the development of project, resourcing and communication plans and respective financial expenditures.
  • Mentoring of junior members of the Delivery team 

Desirable/Beneficial skills

  • Proven end to end delivery and on-going management of digital products, web and mobile applications
  • 3+ years in the field of agile project management
  • Delivery of projects within an Agile development framework including Scrum & Kanban
  • Feature sizing/estimation and team velocity reporting 
  • Nice to have – Understanding of the full-development cycle-including, CI pipelines, automated testing and GIT workflows
  • Nice to have – experience in working with off-shore development teams and 3rd party suppliers
  • Nice to have – experience in working with Creative/UX and strategically focused projects
  • Nice to have – experience with JIRA and Confluence
