Gardener sought to work with enthusiastic team in Reed Business School’s Arts and Crafts garden. We’re looking for someone with the right mix of enthusiasm, knowledge, people skills, and a can to attitude. You’ll enjoy sharing your experience with the rest of the team, and enjoy developing your experience with a project or two. We have a diverse garden, so our ideal candidate will be a gardener through and through, have an all-rounder mindset, as well as being willing to learn new skills.
The Business School is based in a stunning converted 15th Century Manor house located in the heart of the Cotswolds, Reed Business School is situated in the picturesque village of Little Compton. The unique, relaxed atmosphere allows students to focus solely on preparing for and passing exams, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and usual distractions of a working environment.
The Reed Business School is looking for a Gardener to maintain and develop the beautiful gardens of the manor house. To mow and edge lawns in style consistent with required standards. To maintain and plant when necessary herbaceous and flower borders and even to help care for the deer and sheep.
We are a small team of enthusiastic gardeners with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. To be our ideal candidate, you will have experience of working in an historic garden as part as a team, as well as being comfortable with working on your own. Using your initiative you will have the opportunity to lead in caring for your own areas of the garden, taking the chance to enjoy maintaining them to a standard which makes you feel proud, and improving them through planting and design.
We have a mixture of topiary and formal hedges which the whole team work together to maintain. You’ll also be happy to muck in with the day to day tasks of mowing, weeding, dead-heading, and edging up, to make sure that we keep the whole garden looking beautiful all year round.
