Head of Agile Delivery

Reed Online are looking for a Head Agile Coach to lead their established team based in Central London (initial onboarding will all be remote). 

About the role:

  • Spearhead the continuous improvement of our Agile practices and transformation journey by mentoring and coaching Business Leaders, Scrum Masters, Product Managers  and Development Teams
  • Overseeing, in collaboration with Company Leadership, the execution of company strategy through the use of OKRs and  Roadmaps
  • Contributes expertise to OKR and roadmap creation; including the planning and communication of OKR progress and monitoring delivery of intended business outcomes.
  • Promote and advocate a culture of trust and psychological safety across the business
  • Create an environment of continuous improvement
  • Line management and mentoring responsibilities for a team of Scrum Masters/Agile Coaches
  • Foster the mindset of self-organisation, collaboration and knowledge sharing among the Agile teams and across the business
  • Identify and work with the relevant stakeholders to reduce or eliminate process and performance inefficiencies
  • Evaluate and mentor existing Agile teams; assess the team’s agile maturity and coach to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organisation
  • Create visibility of performance and productivity and communicates these using data and relevant metrics – Team Health Checks, Maturity models, etc
  • Guide the organisation towards Agile maturity through formal training sessions and informal communication channels.

  • Good understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle phases and processes
  • Strong facilitation skills with situational awareness, conflict resolution, empowerment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, candor, patience, etc
  • Intimately familiar with OKRs, and have been involved in rolling out and learning from multiple cycles
  • Happy to rise to any challenge, even if you don’t know the answer, you’ll actively research potential solutions and experiment with ideas
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable coaching teams and the wider business on agile practices and mindset
  • You have experience working with multiple agile frameworks and methodologies, know the pros and cons and are happy advising when to apply them
  • You’re an assured public speaker and enjoy sharing new ideas with both large and small audiences
