Head of Customer Analytics

The key purpose of this position within REED is to ensure that the business has the best available insights of our customers.  Responsible for overseeing the maintaining data/business intelligence infrastructure within the Customer department as the business owner facing into the technical teams.  This role requires the ability to communicate complex quant information into simple and easy to understand storyboards for a variety of stakeholders . The research and analysis will inform the Customer agenda of the wider REED group and this role will harness data science,BI and AI to support our future decision making.

This role will be based across the REED Group sites,meaning frequent travel between offices in Central London and beyond.

Tell the Customer performance story through accurate data

  • Work alongside the qualitative team to define the narrative to best onboard,engage and drive change against the Customer story

  • Define key metrics for Customer insight and align group teams behind them

  • Work with analysts across the group to brief and automate key data points

  • Work with the qualitative Customer lead to ensure the insights developed are actioned into either tactical or strategic roadmaps 

Drive data-led decisions through hypothesis-led Customer insight

  • Ability to define Customer problems from multiple insight sources and build out hypothesis around it

  • Use a mixture of methods to define a decision making model where Customer insights are at the centre 

Drive the Customer insight strategy for quantitative insights,across the group, working closely with technical analysts

  • Define Customer insight strategy for varying levels of insight – e.g. operational  Apps,Sales,Marketing,CX,Customer & Finance or strategic themes and segmentation

  • Work with the data teams to define the Customer data strategy for the group 

Steward Customer data

  • Business owner for Customer data,working with data team and other data holders to process compliantly and with best outcomes for Customers

  • Process map and understand where our information is held across the business,and have a backlog and roadmap to improvement the processing and movement of Customer data

  • Facilitate data conversations

  • Work with data stakeholders to help improve data management

  • Design BI processes and policies,build new data insight products and services

  • Support analysts and advanced data users with new information needs
