Onboarding Specialist

Job title: Onboarding Specialist, 4 month fixed term contract from January

Salary: £18,000 – £20,000 per annum 

Base location: Bristol 

The Talent Onboarding Specialist will work in collaboration with their team towards the completion of all duties listed below as well as other tasks allocated to the team on an ad-hoc basis. This role requires a proven ability to work to deadlines under time pressures. A very good working knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel is essential, knowledge of MS Teams will be a distinct advantage as well as keen eye for detail and ensuring things are correctly completed first time.

The Talent Engagement Team provides an end to end Professional Contractor service, from initial engagement through to end date management and off-boarding. Ensuring that we contribute, benefit and enhance the candidate journey throughout.

This journey includes; engagement, high compliance vetting, onboarding, the ongoing in-booking management and payroll service through to end date management, off-boarding and obtaining essential feedback for all of the REED Talent Solutions strategic accounts and partners.

As part of this team the Onboarding Specialist will oversee the onboarding of all directly supplied “referred” contractors.

This includes all pre-employment vetting as per client requirements, contract drafting and issuing and ensuring full compliance to all limited company/umbrella procedures. The Onboarding Specialist will be supporting REED Screening to ensure that all elements of the onboarding process are delivered as per our contractual responsibilities and the relevant legislation whilst delivering a high level of service to senior level contractors.

In addition, the Onboarding Specialist will support the Candidate Consultant in gathering information on the contractor pool to support the wider remit of REED Talent Solutions to drive business growth with both new and existing clients. 

The Onboarding Specialist will cover all aspects of the administration within the team which include the following key responsibilities:

  • Completing all onboarding administration duties for new starters
  • Ensuring that compliance is adhered to for all new starters
  • Maintaining the profile database and ensure all details are up-to-date
  • Ensuring Disclosure Scotland checks are complete and accurate when required
  • Liaising with REED Screening
  • Managing candidate and client queries
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance monitoring, including internal and external audits
  • Working with REED’s Account Management teams in relation to start date management
  • Any further tasks and responsibilities within the remit of your role as instructed by the Supervisor
