Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 dependent on experience plus £4,000 inner London weighting plus excellent bonus earning potential with a realistic £50k OTE in your first year and £70k OTE in your second year
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
The Role – What does the Principal Consultant role look like?
This role is to continue the growth of our Statement of Works (SoW) offering in the Banking sector. It will focus on securing and converting client leads in to consultancy projects.
Reed have been delivering consultancy projects for over 20 years. Our projects span from IT transformation to business process outsourcing and from marketing to social care, as we look to support our diverse portfolio of clients with their strategic objectives. We are looking for new consultants to work with our clients to understand their challenges and how our consultancy solutions could help.
The Principal Consultant role will work with new and existing clients to develop relationships that help grow our consultancy services. Reporting directly to our Managing Consultant and based in our central London Head Office, you will join our expert Project Management Office function and be the key connection between the client requirements and our consultant teams. As such you will need to be able to work well with clients in building relationships, be a self-starter with a drive to succeed and have a good understanding of consultancy projects, senior contractor engagements and Statement of Work (SoW) style engagements.
We also promise you a varied role which will challenge and develop you and where no two days will be the same as you look to:
– Proactive Business Development – Remediation and Compliance Projects
– Producing Statement of Work (SoW) for new projects
– Project support & Governance including, tracking and reporting on progress – working on client sites regularly to support the delivery of projects
– Attending regular client board meetings for project updates & approval for new project phases
– New consultant and client coordination (including on boarding and compliance) in partnership with our Resourcing Desk
– Regularly travelling to Client sites and UK Reed offices – Developing the Reed network to identify potential clients for consultancy+
– Attend HR events to network and represent Consultancy+ and ensuring effective follow up on potential leads

Who are we looking for?
This role would suit someone with a background in consulting, or banking consulting, or financial services/banking recruitment, or recruiting in a professional market (such as IT/Technology/Finance/Accountancy etc). You will need to be experienced in a business development and building robust client relationships, and be comfortable talking about banking solutions with clients.
