Team Manager

Reed Talent Solutions are in the process of growing a new business area called Reed Secure which specialises in growing the existing client base within Policing and Security Cleared markets,selling temporary and contract solutions,alongside potential statement of work and consulting opportunities. We are looking for a Team Manager to lead and motivate a small but rapidly growing team including administrative,resourcing and consulting roles.

Job Role: Talent Manager

Location: Prudential Building,5-19 Wine Street,Bristol,BS1 2PH

Contract: Reed Talent Solutions – REED Secure

Salary: Up to £30,000 plus a consultant and manager (for team performance) bonus scheme

Working hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week plus a 1 hour lunch break

Contract: Full time and Permanent

 

What is a Talent Manager?

Reed Talent Solutions are in the process of growing a new business area called Reed Secure which specialises in growing the existing client base within Policing and Security Cleared markets,selling temporary and contract solutions,alongside potential statement of work and consulting opportunities.

The Talent Manager will manage,lead and motivate a small but rapidly growing team to successfully perform in their roles. Your team includes people working in administrative,resourcing and consulting roles who are filling positions for Reed managed accounts. You will be responsible for building successful relationships with our existing account managers and coordinators,existing hiring managers within organisations and new hiring managers within the existing organisations we manage to continue to build our existing hiring manager network. This team are delivering candidates to existing requirements in a 180 degree recruitment environment. There is no sales activity required from this team at this stage.

 

It is the Talent Manager’s responsibility to ensure that their office is profitable. You will be expected to deliver year on year growth in terms of income and profitability,alongside managing costs. As part of this you will also be expected to produce monthly management information reports on the performance of your team,analyse and interpret financial statements to fully understand how your branch is performing and identify ways in which to improve.

Who would make a good Business Manager?

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing a recruitment team and will ideally have:

  • A strong demonstrable recruitment background
  • Ideally experience of managing and motivating a team of recruiters/or an experienced Senior Recruiter ready to take their next step into recruitment management
  • Experience gained in managing volume/specialist/outsourced recruitment
  • Ideally experience of managing budgets
  • Proficient in the use of a range of computer packages such as MS Excel,MS Word and various recruitment databases
  • The ability to learn new bespoke web-based database systems
  • Accurate and effective verbal and written communication skills demonstrating a good vocabulary,plus strong numeracy skills – all of which are paramount
  • The ability to prioritise and manage workloads in line with managing the expectations of third parties
  • Excellent team working and organisation skills
