Mental health awareness

To help promote improved mental wellbeing throughout the business, we are regularly sharing information on our mental health support services for Co-Members, including our Financial Wellbeing flyers.

Generating a feedback culture

We undertake an annual employee Inclusion Survey. This is to ensure we stay on top of maintaining a positive working environment and alert us to any improvements that need to be made linked to diversity.

Appointed diversity champions

We have appointed Diversity Champions across REED to raise the voice of our Co-Members and steer our commitment to Inclusion and Belonging. They are driving initiatives of their own, such as: improving diversity reporting, BAME mentoring schemes, resource pages & disability awareness.

Developing early talent

Through the Apprenticeship Levy, we offer Co-Members the chance to obtain qualifications up to a master’s degree level in relevant subjects for their roles here at REED.

Inclusive management training

We are developing an internal training programme for our people managers to ensure they fully understand the principles of diversity, inclusion & belonging and to make sure there is consistency across the board.

Flexible working that is widely available

We’re reviewing all our working policies and piloting new programmes in areas of the business not currently offering agile and dynamic working opportunities.

Inclusive workplace guide

To help raise awareness of workplace inclusivity, we are rolling our Inclusive workplace guide to support Co-Members having inclusive conversations and understand how to escalate non inclusive behaviour.

Diversity Networks

To help Co-Members network with diverse communities like themselves, we rolling our digital resource networks in the spring to:

  • allow Co-Members to share resources,
  • support one another, and;
  • empower progress.
