Grenfell Tower Appeal
The Big Give’s biggest individual campaign to date
The Big Give profiles the work of thousands of charities and their projects, and offers the opportunity to double donations through match funding campaigns throughout the year.
Thank you to everyone who has supported The Big Give’s Grenfell Tower Appeal so far. This is a terrible tragedy that has affected hundreds of families. Sadly we can’t change what has happened, but we can all come to their support.
So far more than £2.3 million has been raised, thanks to the generosity of the public and business leaders alike. But we need to raise so much more, so please spread the word: every donation will be doubled. The target is £3 million.
When the target is achieved the Big Give will invite corporations, foundations, entrepreneurs and philanthropists to step forward and match that with the goal of achieving £6 million.
Please donate what you can and share the video below with your network to help spread the word.

Other Charities We Support
At REED we work one day a week for charity
Since opening the first REED office in 1960, Sir Alec Reed has ensured that philanthropy has been an integral part of our vision and aims.
In 1985, he established The Reed Foundation, a charitable foundation that provides much of the seed funding for his charity work. The Foundation owns 18% of the REED Group and uses the funds to support charitable projects, including Ethiopiaid, the Big Give and Womankind Worldwide, as well as one-off donations.
Ethiopiaid
Ethiopiaid was founded by Sir Alec Reed in 1989, with a clear vision to achieve lasting change and improve the lives of the poor and most vulnerable people of Ethiopia.
Ethiopiaid works with local community partners in Ethiopia to alleviate poverty, support the elderly, empower women and girls, help children with disabilities and increase access to health care and education.
Since its founding Ethiopiaid has donated over £33 million to Ethiopia, transforming thousands of lives.

Reed Business School
Sir Alec Reed founded the Reed Business School in 1972, with the aim of providing a learning centre for accountancy students.
Reed Business School is a not-for-profit residential accountancy college specialising in qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and CII.
The school is based in Reed’s former home, a 15th Century Jacobean manor house in Little Compton, England.. It opened in 1972 as The Reed College of Accountancy, changing its name to Reed Business School after the formation of the Reed Educational Trust in 1980. The school’s trading profits are donated to the Trust and distributed to numerous educational charities.
Womankind
Womankind Worldwide was the brainchild of Sir Alec Reed. His aim was to set up a charity to support women and girls, which he would finance through Reed Employment and Reed Charity.
Womankind Worldwide is a women’s rights and international development organisation making an impact through the power of partnership. We work to end violence against women and girls, make sure that women have an equal say in the decisions which affect their lives, and enable women to take control of their own livelihoods.
